“Live the life you imagined.” – Henry David Thoreau

This quote is taken from a larger quote by Thoreau, which I have on the background of my computer desktop. It goes like this:

Let go of the past and go for the future.
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.
Live the life you imagined.

Ultimately, this quote speaks to me of the beautiful creation that our lives can be – if we choose them to be.

Today we’re driving home from our annual family holiday at Crescent Head. This is a symbolic time for me, where I leave “holiday mode” and go back to “work mode” in Sydney. This year is different though, as I know it’s the last year I’ll spend in Sydney for a while. This is the year Bel and I execute on the life we’ve been imagining for a few years now.

How well-exercised is your imagination? What do you dream for your life? What is stopping you?

(Hint: You’re only here once. You may as well give it a red-hot go, while you’re still breathing. Right?)

With love,
Israel. xo
