Oops. A bit late this morning. I have had a string of late nights / broken sleep with my son getting up, and so I opted for an early night last night. In doing so, I utterly forgot about publishing an IQ for this morning’s email dispatch!
Excuse? Nah, just an explanation. I wanted you to all know why we’re a bit late with our inspiration today.
This morning I went for a walk and listened to a Louise L. Hay webinar about 10 Steps to Loving Yourself. It is a truly beautiful webinar, and is along the same lines as the book by Kamal Ravikant I mentioned a few weeks ago. Here is the link to the webinar – I’m sure Louise won’t mind that I’m sharing it with you – and here is the link to that book.
So, in the interests of loving myself, I’m not going to go on a big guilty beat-up about missing this morning’s IQ email – after all, you’re getting it now, right? Better late than never. I am, instead, going to say how grateful I am for a full, lovely night’s sleep, and the chance to enjoy some sunshine and salt water this morning at Coogee.
Also, I haven’t forgotten about the Love Thy Self blog – I have, however, been considering putting it on hold for a while. I’m feeling a little fragmented between this blog and my IQ’s, my photography business, the Eastern Beaches Photo Walk, my impending trip to Fargo USA, and generally doing my best for myself, my wife and my kids. Love Thy Self as an idea has been taking up a disproportionate amount of my headspace lately, and I feel I need to pull back my focus to the most important things in my life, especially myself, my family, and my business.
I’m reminded of a saying – it’s no good being enlightened if you can’t pay the electricity bill! As such, for now, Love Thy Self will remain an idea. Not too distant, I assure you, but it won’t be happening for a few weeks/months yet. I’ll let you know as soon as it’s online and ready.
Have a wonderful day, and remember to love yourself.
