“The walls we build around us to keep sadness out also keeps out the joy.” – Jim Rohn

I think the key here is to embrace our sadness, our down days, our insipid feelings, as much as we embrace the opposite – our happiness, our up days, and our excitement.

I don’t believe you can fully appreciate one with out the other.

Today I’m giving myself permission to feel sad. I have no valid explanation as to why I feel sad, but I do, nonetheless. Fighting myself about this feeling only perpetuates it.

Being able to acknowledge the feeling for what it is – a feeling, and not who I am – is the key to transcending it.

With love,
