ISIQ-0178

Dear friends,

I’ve just returned from a wonderful speaking engagement for a local photography club. I was able to speak with passion, from my heart, about my photography work. I gave fully and freely of my knowledge and expertise, and even gave away copies of my Our Family books to all attendees.

It was pure bliss, and something that came fairly easily to me.

I am on track to getting about 5 hours sleep tonight, before getting up early and driving 2.5 hours each way to Newcastle. While there, I’ll be giving another presentation to a completely different group of photographers and creative people, about a completely different aspect of my life – my philosophies, my alternative approach to business, and my personal experience with depression.

My intention is to again speak with passion, and give as freely and fully of myself as I can for this new group also. I want to share my experiences so others might learn from them and avoid making the same mistakes I’ve made.

Despite the fatigue I currently feel, and the journey ahead of me tomorrow, I feel compelled to share this story. It really does feel like a calling; another key aspect to my life’s work that I need to pursue regardless of gain or reward.

I’ll let you know how I get on in tomorrow’s IQ post :)

Today’s IQ is a simple one about simple beauty and simple pleasure. I love the crisp lines of the grass, and I especially love the use of the word “rejoice” in the quote.

Rejoice.

Even the feel of the word as it rolls off my tongue makes me happy. Is there an emotional equivalent of onomatopoeia?

Maybe it’s emotomatopoeia? Where the sound of a word causes the emotion it represents to be present in the heart of person speaking?

If there wasn’t such a word, there is now. I just invented it.

If that ain’t a reason to rejoice, I don’t know what is. :)

With love,
Israel. xo
