ISIQ-0191

“Our work should serve our life, and not the reverse.” – Israel Smith.

Today’s IQ is from me, and is one of my deeply-held beliefs.

I spoke about it at length at the seminar I gave in Newcastle a week or two back, and I thought today I’d include the entire “What I Believe” piece for you all to read and think about.

I hope you are all well! I’m working through a lot of commitments at the moment and doing my best to keep myself balanced as I go.

So far, I’m winning. I hope you are too :)

WHAT I BELIEVE

I believe life is meant to be enjoyed to the fullest.

I believe time is our most precious asset.

I believe gratitude is an essential life skill, along with mindfulness.

I believe happiness is “IN HERE”, not “OUT THERE”.

I believe humans are innately happy, peaceful and balanced.

I believe our bodies are the ultimate self-correcting, self-healing machine, and our minds are so powerful, that we can imagine new possibilities that have never before existed, and make them real.

I believe family is a vitally-important institution.

I believe our work should serve our life, and not the reverse.

I believe it is not only possible, but essential to express what is in our hearts, and in doing so, serve others and provide value.

I believe you can always make more money, but you can never make more time.

I believe life is too short to do stuff you don’t enjoy.

I believe all you need is love.

With love,
Israel. xo
