“Nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come.” – Victor Hugo

Well, actually, the original quote is:

On résiste à l’invasion des armées; on ne résiste pas à l’invasion des idées.”
Translation: One resists the invasion of armies; one does not resist the invasion of ideas.

(Check out the full litany of “interpretations” and “paraphrasings” on Victor Hugo’s Wikiquote page. And scope out his Wikipedia page while you’re at it. He’s a bit of a clever dude.)

But the paraphrasing I’ve chosen above is, I think, beautiful – and even better, it’s more relevant to what I wanted to talk about with you today.

One idea whose time has come is The Root Cause’s mission to Transform Children’s Health One Lunch Box At A Time. I know I keep mentioning this in my IQs / essays, but the thing is, every day brings new opportunities!

Take a read of the latest newsletter update from The Root Cause that Bel just sent out, and you’ll see what I mean. (And if you’re not subscribed and want to get free goodies and stay in The Root Cause loop, head here and subscribe.)

We keep finding people who are utterly inspired by the mission, and who want to help us. We just got sponsorship from Worldwide Printing, and people keep finding the message and telling us how much they love what we’re up to. It makes us feel so excited about the mission and the work :)

So anyway, that’s all for today. Bel and I sit, poised on the crest of a wave about to break, bringing forth new and powerful ideas whose time has come. Hold on tight.

With love,
Israel. xo

PS The delivery times for my IQ emails have been quite erratic lately. That is due to two things: 1) my schedule has been erratic, and 2) the auto-send function of my email provider has been broken (pesky software updates), and we’ve been working on the fix. While it has been broken, it’s been reliant on me manually pushing “Send” each day. Refer back to point 1) and you’ll see why things have been a bit wacky. All things IQ-email-sending-land should be back to 8am sharp (AEST) from tomorrow. Thanks for your patience and understanding! :) xo
