ISIQ-0562

“Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone – we find it with another.” – Thomas Merton

The difficult thing in creating these IQs is trying to find something beautiful, unique, and meaningful to share with you every day.

The beautiful thing about creating these IQs is how often I am reminded of the core values I hold dear. The chance to share them every day with you, my dear friend, is a gift I cherish.

If I were to define my life by one single core emotion or value, it would be love.

My work is all about love. My life is surrounded by love. My wife walked down the aisle to “All you need is love”.

And this year, at Misfit Con, I learned a great deal about how much I try to “go it alone” in life, and how I instead need to learn to ask for help, and to work together with people to make the difference I am here to make.

The fabulous thing about these IQs is that a quote will pop out, seemingly at random, from that sea of information known as the interwebs. Something in my subconscious resonates, I choose it, and I start working on the image, the quote, and my words.

Often it isn’t until I start to write that I realise the reasons why my subconscious drew me to a specific quote or message. I have lost count of the times I have sat down with an empty head, and found deep and resonant meaning in the quotes I choose.

Today’s quote combines both my core emotion – love – and what I am learning to do more in my day to day: collaborate with others, to find and make meaning.

So much more I could write about this, but I’m on a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef tomorrow morning, so I need to finish this and get to bed.

Have a brilliant day, wherever you are!

Out of interest: What is YOUR key emotion? What one word would describe your life / core / direction / drive / purpose / etc?

Big question, I know. Tell me if you know, and if you don’t, feel free to email me with some speculative ideas!

With love,
Israel. xo
