“Laziness may appear attractive, but work gives satisfaction.” – Anne Frank

Random thoughts on a Sunday morning:

  • I am utterly exhausted, but smiling from ear to ear because of how hard I’ve worked this week.
  • Maybe that’s what Mick Jagger’s problem was? He was lazy?
  • I love being lazy – sometimes. (Like today, when I feel I’ve earned it.)
  • Work is something we can derive meaning from in our lives.
  • Laziness is a relative concept; lazy for me might be busy for you.

A few sub-points:

love the Rolling Stones. It harks back to my time as a drummer in a rock band.

This week, I have accomplished more than I have in many weeks previously. This is largely the result of having an awesome chat with my wife about my to-do list last weekend. (See my earlier post about scheduling).

Yesterday I learned the value of letting go, practising gratitude in the face of challenges, and simply focusing on service. The rewards came faster and more abundantly than I could have ever imagined. Do it. Let go, and focus on service.

One of my to-do items was to design and build my wife’s new website, from scratch. This also included shooting and editing a video of my wife introducing herself and her business. I finished in the wee hours of last night (hence the slightly later delivery) but I am SOOO SATISFIED with myself and my week’s work.

What gives you satisfaction? Are you inherently lazy? Do you love the Rolling Stones too? I’d love to hear from you.

Have a beautiful Sunday.

With love,
Israel. xo
