“It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.” – J.K. Rowling
This particular IQ has both a positive, empowering aspect for me. It also has a confronting, more negative aspect. Hmm.
I think the moments I find it challenging are when I consider how many times I’ve been a passenger in my own life, mindlessly consuming rubbish – food or media, it makes no difference – and letting the proverbial wind carry me where it will.
By contrast, I find it positive and empowering are when I’m truly making intentional choices and truly living in the direction that I want to go.
And then, separate to both of these viewpoints is my desire to be accepting of who, what, and how I am as a person. In that context, nothing is disempowering, because I accept all that I am with open arms and no judgement.
My conclusion from all of this? Hmm. How about: Simply do your best.
Thoughtfully yours, with love,
Israel. xo
