“Go out, make a lot of mistakes, and live.” – Tim Rogers.
This is possibly an inaccurate quote. I just got home from a FABULOUS gig by You Am I – an all-time favourite band of mine.
The singer and main songwriter, Tim Rogers, was in particularly fine form, but was also very gracious about their rollercoaster ride of a career as a band.
Today’s quote is more of the general vibe of what was going on. You know how it is at rock concerts… loud music, emotional highs, memories, feelings, all coalescing together into this group experience.
Tonight was just like that. Tim definitely said a lot more than this, but I think this kind of sums it up – at least for me and my own interpretation.
It was comforting, that after 20 years, they are able to appreciate everything they’ve done, and are grateful for their own mistakes and the stories they can tell.
That’s kind of it. It’s 1am. I’m knackered. See you tomorrow :)
