Find joy in everything you do

“Find joy in everything you choose to do. Every job, relationship, home… it’s your responsibility to love it, or change it.” – Chuck Palahniuk

Today’s quote was originally going to be purely about relationships, because I’ve been having this sporadic email conversation with an amazing guy in the USA called Chris Brogan. (You really should check him out. He’s really cool.)

Chris is a genius at relationships, and how they relate to business. He is also a prolific creator of content, and is also funny, and into geeky stuff, and pretty much one of the most expert users of social media I’ve ever seen.

Yes, I have a man-crush on him. I even admitted it in a very recent email.

But the point here, my friend, is that relationships are key. Chris has built a very personal one with me – some random guy from Sydney whom he has never met.

I’d like to think I’ve built personal relationships with each of you – and particular those who email me directly, or comment on the IQ’s. It makes my heart super full to know that little bit more about you than just your email address and first name.

So with all that in mind, I found this quote, and it kinda tied-in to relationships, and also tied in to just being joyful in everything. I love this idea of finding joy in everything you choose to do.

I loved the photo walk yesterday, and this is another image from it. I believe I’ve created a few more beautiful relationships as a result of it, and I certainly found joy in hosting the walk. Actually, I don’t get anything financial out of it, so the whole motivation is about joy!

I could get really deep about the other elements of the quote, like responsibility, mindfulness, intentional choosing, life direction, blah blah blah…

But it’s Sunday night, and I’m just feeling a big swell of love for the Universe, the world, and you – my dear friend.

Thankyou for being here. It means a lot.

With love,
Israel. xo
