Every rejection is a gift. A chance to learn and to do it better next time. An opportunity to figure out how to bounce, not break. Don’t waste them.” – Seth Godin

I don’t want to bore you with intimate details of yet another crappy day.

What I will do instead, is share the incalculable solace it brought me. Each rejection (note: by ourselves, our marketplace, or our family members…) is a gift. A chance to learn and do it better next time.

I am reframing my evenings experience as another opportunity to learn to bounce, and not break.

I am so grateful to people like Seth Godin. With Bel’s help, I have determined that when I am feeling utterly overwhelmed, dejected, and despairing, I will consciously find a quiet corner and read something from Seth’s blog or one of his books. Or, I will read something from my other guru, Leo Babauta from Zen Habits. Those guys never fail to give me light on a dark day.

That is my action plan from here on in. Here’s to more bouncing, less breaking, and a faster turnaround between the two.

With love,
Israel. xo

PS Hi to my dear friend K who took the advice of my creation post (well before I wrote it, I might add) and committed to an actual date with some girlfriends, and is now enjoying the sights of Paris, France with them. Wow. :)
