“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs, ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who are alive.” – Howard Thurman

Yes. What Howard said.

I’ve just had a totally ordinary day, where my depression struck harder than it has in a while. I’m learning heaps at the moment, and pushing against my comfort zone in a whole host of areas, but especially in our businesses. The side effect of this is that I get depressed, scared, and constantly want to sleep. (My escape / coping mechanism.)

Then tonight I watched some training videos from BSchool about how Bel and I can build our businesses, and I started taking a few actions to push through the fear barrier. One of these actions was simply INVITING people to like my photography business Facebook page, and in about two hours it increased by almost a hundred likes. So that’s a hundred more people I can share my awesome work with, and who can benefit from what I bring to the world.

I was so scared, but in taking action and getting results, I am now SUPER AMPED. I have come alive.

(It’s after 10pm when I write this, so I’m perhaps a little too alive for this time of night, but still…)

So, Howard’s words are completely true, relevant, and awesome.

Find out what makes YOU come alive, and go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who are alive.

With love,
Israel. xo
