Every dark tunnel has a light of hope.

Every dark tunnel has a light of hope.

by Israel · May 13, 2017

My writing feels like a dark tunnel, today. And I need to confess something. I haven’t even written anything for my book yet. My hope is that writing a blog about my day will fire up the muse and get the words flowing out of me.

So why no writing yet? I have a bag full of wonderful excuses:

  • Not enough sleep last night. (Indrani’s birthday prep emergency.)
  • Not enough free time today. (Indrani’s birthday, filled with cool stuff.)
  • Too tired / brain-fogged / sooky / etc.
  • It’s too hard…

The mere act of writing out those excuses has just shown me how pathetic they all are. It reminds me of a quote from the gym I used to go to:

You can have reasons. Or you can have results.

For today, I choose results. I’m off to do some writing. I’ll let you know how I go in tomorrow’s update.

What about you? Reasons, or results?

With love,
Israel. xo

Today’s headline is a quote from Young MC’s song “Bust A Move“. It’s an all-time rap favourite of mine. When that line came to me, I guess even my subconscious was telling me to Bust A Move and get writing…
