“The past becomes a texture, an ambience to our present.” – Paul Scott

Many many years ago, Bel and I did this course called The Landmark Forum. It’s a personal development course, and among other things, we both credit it as one of the key factors in the strength of our relationship together. The course helped us identify the unconscious behaviours that we had accumulated over our lives, that were perpetuating silly loops of unproductive/unwanted actions or circumstances in our lives.

The course also helped us realise that the past doesn’t have to create our future.

This quote is an interesting take on it – instead of creating our future, the past can become a texture that colours who we are.

But, importantly, this texture doesn’t colour who we can become.

With love,
Israel. xo
